Badgers Open Season with Scrimmage
September 4, 2008

The Yosemite Badgers football program will host the Tulare Western High School Mustangs in the pair's third annual scrimmage Friday beginning at 4:30 p.m. at Badgers Stadium.

The freshmen and JV will take the field first (4:00 p.m.) and the varsity teams will clash at 6 p.m.

The Badgers, ranked 19th (pre-season) in the Central Section by MaxPreps, will be led by Coach Aaron Eames and are coming off of a 7-5 season (3-2 North Sequoia League) while the Mustangs are coached by Luis DaSilva and finished the 2007 season 6-5 (3-3 West Yosemite League) and lost to Fresno High School 41-22 in the first round of the playoffs.

"We have experience in some of the skill positions but are not up to last years standards on the offensive or defensive lines," Eames said.
