Badgers roll over Sierra

Badgers’ wide receiver Cody Shahan (18) catches a Jesse Lownsbury pass for 25 yards and a touchdown. Shahan caught five passes for 56 yards and a touchdown in Yosmite’s 42-20 victory over Sierra in Mountain Bowl XXVII.

The game was over against the Chieftains when the Badgers stepped onto the field. Yosemite pounded Sierra 42-12 in North Sequoia League action Friday night in Badger Stadium.

The rivalry game hasn't been compelling in some years but the atmosphere is great as the underdog hopes against hope.

Yosemite (7-3, 4-2 NSL) wasted little time establishing ball control after it held Sierra (2-8, 2-4 NSL) to three plays and a punt.  +

  Consistency - Consistency is important to a teams over-all outcome.  Everybody needs to hold themselves accountable to play at their highest level.  To push themselves to play every play like it was their last.  Playing up and down from play to play doesn't give our team the best opportunity for success.  We are striving to be the best team on the field week in and week out and we will do that by consistently pushing ourselves for the greater of the team.

   I would like to thank the community for coming out and supporting our program year after year.  With your support we are continuing to field three levels of football and provide opportunities for the students of Yosemite High School.

  2008 CIF Playoff Bracket for Division III Football. | Bracket |  Yosemite draws a number two seed and a first round bye.  Next game will be at home against the 8-4 Tehachapi Warriors.      December, 5th at 7:00pm.
